Meet Lewis Bell – one of our newest team members here at RecruitmentJunky! Lewis is a tech whiz so he’s loving his role as Business Partner Resourcer, working alongside our Senior Headhunter, Joe, in our tech recruitment team. 

Lewis joined us in January 2022 to begin his career in recruiting. He’s already learned a great deal about the industry, and we can’t wait to watch his career grow!

(While this is Lewis’ first byte of recruitment, we know he’ll be cache-ing in loads of roles with his computer know-how in no time!)

So Lewis, tell us a little bit about yourself…

First, I have a keen interest in tech! I love building computers – I built the one I am currently using for work! I enjoy putting together PCs as well as solving and fixing problems on them, so this has become a (very expensive) passion of mine. 

In my spare time I like to go to the gym as much as possible, but three times a week at a minimum.

Other than that, since I was young I have loved to draw – I find it a great way to relax.

Why were you keen to start your career in recruitment? 🕵️

Prior to RecruitmentJunky, I had worked at a couple of different factories. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I worked at a factory that dealt with different types of circuit boards for industrial agricultural equipment. However, I was placed on furlough before being made redundant. I soon found myself working at another factory, but I knew I didn’t want to make a career for myself there. 

The Business Partner Resourcer role here RecruitmentJunky was a perfect match for me though! In my role, I work alongside Joe, who is a really good friend of mine. We work really well together: Joe is a great mentor and he has helped me learn the ropes very quickly.

I have always had a very keen interest in technology since I was young so I love being a part of the tech recruitment side of things. I can already tell that this is a company I can build my career in! 

What are your goals for your future with RecruitmentJunky? 🚀

I love being at RecruitmentJunky! The flexibility of being able to juggle work-life and home-life works really well for me. RecruitmentJunky is a great company with great people, and as a bonus, I get to work in a team with my best mate.

Going forward, I would like to continue to enhance my knowledge of the tech and developer roles I will be working on.  I am very motivated and currently saving for a house, so I can’t wait to really get stuck into my role here and start earning the commission! I am looking forward to progressing further in my career too!
